Interested in becoming a volunteer?

The Friends of the Winter Gardens would, of course, be thrilled to hear from you.

We’re always looking for people who are keen to give up their time (in the day or during the evening) to a worthy, volunteer-led cause like ours. The rewards for working in such a renowned building like the Winter Gardens are many; you’ll be helping to keep the spirit of the property well and truly alive while meeting a friendly group who’ll make you feel part of something really special.

There are lots of opportunities to get involved, too. From helping out at our Friday evening paranormal group to lending a hand to those with learning difficulties, you can bring your unique skills to the venue and maybe find a new hobby or meet a new friend along the way.
We operate on a ‘more the merrier’ basis; anyone and everyone is welcome to help. You just need the willingness to get stuck in at a time to suit you.

You could help by giving the building a lick of paint, or serving drinks at the bar; ours is a community-run venue and we rely on kind-hearted volunteers to keep the building ticking along.
On top of that, we’re always open to fundraising ideas too. We’d love to have you onboard in whatever capacity that may be. Give the Friends a call to discuss how you can help.

Over the years our volunteers have helped restore parts of the building, have a look what we’ve completed so far.

Thanks to all the volunteers, Friends and the Trustees that helped redecorate the Winter Gardens Theatre Cafe/Bar (formally known as the Parisian Cafe/Bar) to its wonderful new colour in March 2019
