Who are we?
The Restoration and Maintenance Group carry out their work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week under the guidance of Malcolm O’Neil who reports directly to the Board of Trustees.
Work is undertaken after liaison with the Trust and with ongoing support from the Conservation team at LCC and national bodies to ensure it meets the statutory requirements befitting a Grade II* listed building.
A helping hand
This group is made up of men and women with various skills who are happy to work as a team in sometimes difficult circumstances.

It’s not for everyone as the theatre is not normally heated and this in itself keeps everyone moving however heating will be Installed towards the end of 2020 so things will get better!
We are very grateful to this team as without them the Theatre could not continue as they provide their expertise of restoration and maintenance all without charge.
Applications to join this group are very welcome but due to the Theatre being a Grade II* listed building all applicants must reach high standards of workmanship and responsibility.
But do not let that put you off!
If you feel you have something to offer please do apply and you will be contacted by Malcolm to discuss your qualifications and/or skills and he will arrange a visit for you to see what goes on.
To apply an application form can be found below.
If you want to apply for general volunteering there is a separate application form
which can be found on the Friends page.
We request that you do not turn up at the building without an arranged appointment as people are usually very busy on these days and time has to be put aside to make sure you can be given our full attention.
