Morecambe Winter Gardens does not operate a box office for Events. Tickets are sold online, via our website, or by calling Morecambe Tourist Information Centre.

Theatre timings may vary, for specific timings please check event page. The Theatre bar will open 60 mins before performances start, and the auditorium will open 60 minutes before performances start.

Yes, the Theatre and bar is all on one level.  Although the floor is on a slope there are no steps and most areas are accessible in a wheel chair.  We also have clean and well-presented disabled toilets.
*Please note: disabled access is available in the downstairs areas only.

  • Alcohol purchased outside building
  • Illegal substances
  • Anything that could reasonably considered for use as a weapon
  • Nitrous Oxide and Psychoactive substances
  • Food and Drink
  • Excessive quantities of cigarettes (ie more than for personal consumption)
  • Glass of any kind, including perfume and cologne bottles, beer bottles, jars or drinking vessels
  • Portable laser equipment and pens
  • Megaphones / Sound systems / Air horns
  • Spray cans
  • Fireworks / Sparklers / Flares
  • Animals (with the exception of assistance dogs)
  • Unofficial tabards or hi vis jackets
  • Professional camera or video equipment
  • Bicycles
  • Chairs and stools (including fold up chairs and stools)
  • Only medication in its original packaging will be permitted into the venue.

Any items confiscated will not be available for collection on exit and will be destroyed.

There is a Charge of £1 per hanger at the cloakroom facility located near the Theatre Bar, We do not permit any large bags or buggies in the building.

Please be aware that if you arrive too late during the show/event you may be refused entry, 

For Day/Evening Events Under 16’s need to be accompanied by adult, the adult must be over the age of 21.

We do not allow any filming, photography or recording of any kind during the performance. Anyone caught doing so will be removed and their ticket will not be refunded. Filming is only authorized by event organisers

Mobile phones must be switched off or switched to silent for the duration of the performance.

In accordance with legislation in England, smoking is prohibited in all internal areas of the venue. This includes the use of e-cigarettes. Please use designated smoking areas outside and use the smoking bins provided.

Some of our performances will use strobe lighting effects, lasers, smoke effects and pyrotechnics. If you have any concerns about an event you are thinking of attending please contact us on 01524 409009 for further information or email us on enquiries@morecambewintergardens.co.uk.

Well behaved dogs are permitted in the Theatre during general openings. However, we only allow Assistance Dogs in during events.

Doors for concerts open at 18:30, unless otherwise stated on your ticket.

No outside food or drink is allowed to enter the building during an event, Alcoholic and Hot drinks are available from our Bar & Cafe, which also supply light snacks.

Paranormal Events

Morecambe Winter Gardens does not operate a box office for Paranormal Events. Tickets are sold online, linked from our website.

Paranormal Night Events are only available for people over 18 years of age.

There is no cloakroom facility aviable during a paranormal event, please only bring what you need for the night.

During a Paranormal event food and drinks are permitted on entry of the building, with understand that alcoholic beverages are NOT PERMITTED.

During a paranormal investigation event, public are advised to wear suitable warm clothing and bring a torch.  

General Opening

Photography for personal use is permitted in the theatre. We welcome donations if you do take pictures. 
If you wish to take photographs for commercial use a permit is required from us. 
We normally open on Sundays between 13:00 & 16:00

It is free entry to come inside (but you are offered the chance to donate to our charity). 

There is a large car park on the sea front opposite the Winter Gardens. It is a pay and display but free of charge from 6pm. Operated by local council

There is also a large Car-Park behind the Pleasureland Amusement Arcade. This is a privately run car park.

Yes. We have changing facilities in the Theatre, located in the Cafe.

Yes, our Bar, Cafe & Tours  are equipped with Card machines which accept  chip & Pin and contactless from all major brands.

 

You can purchase your tour tickets by booking via our website or you can purchase your tickets from our ticket boxes with in the theatre.

Hiring

In the last twelve months new doors have been put into the theatre to keep the heat in. We understand there have been performances where the audience have been cold and the team are looking at a permanent heating solution to be implemented next year.  In the meantime, hot air blowers have been installed and we advise visitors to wear warm clothing during the winter months.
