VISIT & EXPLORE
A long-standing jewel in Morecambe’s crown, the Winter Gardens is proud to be at the very heart of the town’s grand regeneration plans. It may well have found itself sad, unloved and unused for some years, but the Grade II* listed property is fast sparking the once-waning passion of the theatre-going public in Morecambe. Visitors, of course, come from much further afield than the seaside town itself, with the promenade-facing venue attracting anyone looking for a quintessentially British night out in one of the north’s most charming settings. Put Your Trust in Our Exciting Programme of Events Good, old fashioned-theatre shows are high on the Winter Gardens’ agenda, but the programme doesn’t end there. With regular performances from household names, celebrities and big budget productions, through to local theatre, paranormal nights, guided tours, craft and art exhibitions, you can well and truly put your trust in the hardworking people behind the venue when they say there’s something for everyone.
Soak Up the Ambience
Head along to this iconic Morecambe building and take in its breathtaking architecture while soaking up its ambience. You don’t need to book either – just pop along and enjoy!. Guided tours take place on Sundays Or if you’d prefer, pre-book a guided tour during the week for an ‘all-singing, all-dancing’ theatre-lover’s experience.
The Show Must Go On
Why not make a day of it? A sunny stroll along the prom, a break for traditional fish and chips or a deliciously indulgent ice cream sundae will certainly add to the beautifully British romance of a trip to the seaside.
Take the Weight Off Your Feet
Need a sit down? Take the weight off your feet in our charming Theatre bar. You’ll find that it’s open during all evening shows or music events, and if you don’t fancy a tipple or two, tuck into cakes and biscuits over a steaming mug of tea or coffee.
Run by our friendly team of volunteers, our Theatre bar offers a warm welcome to everyone who pops in.
