In 1982, seating from the Grand Circle was sold and presumed lost forever. Forty years later, these unique chairs were rediscovered and offered back to the theatre.

When you sponsor a seat, you are helping us to secure our future and to help with restoration.

We are a Registered Charity and rely on generous and continued donations. Please see our Donation page to find out more.

We’d love for you to get involved (in any way you can) to help us in not simply preserving the iconic Winter Gardens but allowing it to thrive. There are plenty of ways you can do your bit and here are just a few:

From helping out at our Friday evening paranormal group, you can bring your unique skills to the venue and maybe find a new hobby or meet a new friend along the way.

We operate on a ‘more the merrier’ basis; anyone and everyone is welcome to help. All we ask is you have the willingness to get stuck in at a time to suit you.

Your Support helps!

Be a part of it’s history

If you become part of our Restoration & Maintenance Group you will be helping to restore our historically important Grade II* Listed building.

Entertaining the Masses!

Sponsoring a Seat means you are helping us to bring our Grand Circle back into use with the seats that were removed in 1982. This will increase the capacity of the theatre.

Becoming a Friend

Joining the Friends means you will be kept up to date with all things Winter Gardens related. Your subscription helps to maintain and restore the building.

For the Next Generation!

Helping at the theatre gives people from all walks of life the opportunity to contribute in whatever way suits them best for the benefit of this iconic landmark building.

Having Volunteers is vitally important to us as we have no paid staff. Volunteers run our Café, welcome visitors, run the Tours, provide support for events in the theatre and numerous other things.

Your kindness goes along way!

We encourage people to donate to us as we receive no public funding. Donations large and small are vital to us in order to run and restore the theatre. We welcome legacy donations. We are registered for Gift Aid so if you are a UK Tax Payer this means we can claim an additional 25% of your donation from the Government.
