Absolutely Devastated to hear news this morning of Evelyn Archer passing away. Evelyn was a true champion of Morecambe but more than that she was a friend.
She achieved absolutely amazing things at the Winter Gardens and being able to go to shows again at the Winter Gardens was only possible due to Evelyn’s passion and tenacity and drive.
I will make sure that I continue to support the Friends of the Winter Gardens to receive funding to achieve Evelyn’s dream of fully restoring the Winter Gardens.
